Linux Supporters Group Adelaide

  • An Appreciation of KDE 4: Looking at the history of the development of the K Desktop Environment — comparing and contrasting this latest version with what has come before.
  • Configure a Gateway: Explaining the details behind getting a Linux box to act as a router and gateway — a bit about iptables and TCP/IP — in preparation for a workshop in June.

The meeting shall be held at the Adelaide South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street, Adelaide.

‘C’ and LCD Tutorials Posted

We have added these to our “Tutorials” section:

  • An Intro. to the C Language: a gentle introduction to the C language for programming hardware using Linux.
  • Controlling an LCD: a C program to write to a commonly-available LCD module connected to a parallel port under Linux.
