How old of a computer are we talking about? An old 233mhz, 64mb ram, that needs a working dialup connection?

And what about driver compatability issues with old hardware that may only have win9x drivers available? 

This is a big fear for some people still running 9x on their old hunk of junk. They don't want to go through the expense or bother of trying something other than 9x and finding they need to replace half of their hardware to do it. 

That is why they have stuck with 9x as long as they have. A lot can't afford to replace the hardware or buy a new computer capable of running something else.

If you have some good answers for them that can be a real alternative, I will point my readers in your direction.</description>
